Fired without cause

Was promoted to a sales manager last year. I did everything they asked me to do. I was excited and proud to be part of them. When I asked for feedback they were either vague or said I was doing fine. I was well liked by associates because I treated them like people. I was told to improve my magic score and I did but I was called in this week and told my progress was not substantial enough for Macy's standards. Just like that. Stripped of my job, self esteem and the place I had faith in. I asked if we could get through Christmas. They said no. Many different feelings here but the worse is that they did this to me right before Christmas. I never got a customer complaint or anything. Still numb.
